Michael K Norris writes stories that range from a couple hundred words to tens of thousands - and spans genres from general fiction to police procedural, suspense/thriller, science fiction, horror, comedy, young adult and romance. He does not use AI in any way with his writing - and all photos and images on this site are his own.
Once a week since May 2025, Michael has been writing very short stories on social media that include the 'origin story' about a piece of trash or other discarded items found on bike rides the previous week. Stories have been written about items including a wine bottle, eyeglasses, an American flag, an emergency exit hatch from a bus, and even a completely intact Panera Bread baguette. He encourages others to do the same (and also to not litter). Follow Michael on Instagram, Threads and Twitter/X for weekly #ThursdayTrashFlashFiction or take a bike ride and write your own!
